- Double-check spelling at the store. Some stores have been different.

Steps to Set the Router up to act as a Wifi Bridge from Walmartwifi to the OKM
- Unpackage the router. Plug into power and make sure the Power button on the back is pushed IN.
- When the router is fully powered on, you should see two green lights on the top. This may take a couple of minutes. The power and the wifi lights. (1st and 3rd)
- At this point, the router should be broadcasting a wifi signal with the SSID printed on the top of the router. (In this example, NETGEAR79).
- Go to Wifi settings on your device (i.e. mobile phone) and connect to that network.
- The password will be what is printed on the label. (In this example, orangehat703)

Key in the password and press Join.

Once connected it should look like this:
- Open a browser on your device, such as Chrome.

In the browser bar, type in 192.168.1.1

This should connect to the router and you may see a screen like this .

We will not be using the Nighthawk app for configuring the router.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose the option “If you don’t have a compatible smartphone, click here”

Press I Agree to the terms and conditions

Router will check for an Internet connection.

Since there isn’t a connection it will prompt you as follows.

Choose “No, I want to configure the internet connection myself”, then click Next.
-
At this prompt press OK.

This should bring you to the Admin Account settings page
- Here you are asked to set the admin password and security questions.
- The password should be set to “Walmart123”. In case of any issues the router can be reset, and this process can be done again. username will be "admin".

Key in the new password. Make sure to save the password in LastPass.
- Answer the security questions however you like. Add these to the notes in LastPass.
- Label this password for the store you are setting it up for.
- When finished, press Next.

Next, you should see a sign-in page. Sign in to the router using “admin” and “Walmart123”
- Key in “admin” for the Username

- Then key in the password you set previously (Walmart123)

This will bring you to the Router Settings page.

Select the ADVANCED tab at the top of the screen

Select Advanced Setup at the left side of the screen
- Select Advanced Wireless Settings at the left side of screen
-
Now you will be on the Advanced Wireless Settings page, which looks like this:

Scroll to the very bottom and select "Other operation mode"
- Another option for "Enable Bridge mode" will appear

Select that option
- More options will appear.

Click the setup bridge mode wireless settings button/bar.

This will take you to this page.

This is where we set the wireless network for the router to connect to.
- Next to the Choose a wireless network dropdown, select “Wireless Networks (5Ghz n/ac)”
- Note: Walmart uses 5Ghz for their wifi at their stores.

Next to Name (SSID) type in “SwimUpStream”
- Use the exact spelling for this store (in case it varies from store to store)
- You can verify the spelling of the public wifi by looking for “SwimUpStream” in your device’s Wifi settings for available wifi networks.

Make sure None is selected under Security Options
- Click Apply.
- The screen will close and you will come back to the Advanced Wireless Settings page

Make sure that Get IP Address Dynamically and Get DNS Server Address Automatically are selected.
- Scroll to the top of this screen and press Apply

The router will reset, you should see a Settings bar displayed
- The power light should be flashing as the router restarts.
- Once the Settings progress bar has filled the router should be reset.
- This could take several minutes.
- If the configuration worked successfully there should be 3 lights on the router: power, internet, wifi.

Since the router is now connecting to Walmartwifi it should no longer be broadcasting its own wifi signal. You can verify this by looking for the router’s wifi name.
- Exit Chrome and go to your device’s Wifi Settings
- You should no longer see the wifi for the router (In this example, NETGEAR79) displayed in the list of wifi networks available.
- If it is still showing wait a few minutes to see if it disappears from the list. You may have to keep refreshing the list.

If the configuration has been done successfully you can now unplug the router from power (if needed). The settings will be retained. Move the router to where it can be connected to the OKM.
- If you do unplug it, it could take several minutes (2-3) for it to start up and get into “Bridge mode” again.
- Connect the OKM to one of the LAN ports in the back. NOT the yellow Internet port.
- The OKM should show the connection screen.

If the configuration does not work, it may be necessary to go through the steps again. You may need to reset the router to factory settings.
- To reset the router, make sure the router is powered on, then locate the Reset button on the back of the router.
- Using a paper clip, press the button for 7 seconds. The router will reset.
