Caution: The instructions below may trigger self-defense mode and lock down all OnePOD positions. Please lift any offline sensors prior to performing the actions below to prevent locking down an offline sensor.
If multiple sensors are offline, please check to ensure the gateway is online. Perform any action (disarm, lock or unlock) to confirm communication with at least one device.
Sensors should normally reconnect automatically. If a sensor remains offline for longer than expected, it may require user interaction to force an uplink or reboot/restart the sensor.
These steps will first force the sensor to try and send an uplink and return online. If that does not work, follow the final set of steps to restart/reboot the sensor.
Force a OnePOD sensor to send an uplink:
- Disarm the sensor even if it is offline. This will tell the Alarm Node not to alarm.
- Lift sensor from stand and disconnect the tether cable for at least 10 seconds.
- Reattach the sensor tether and replace in powered stand.
These steps should force the sensor to send an alarm uplink and may reset the sensor if planogram compliance was unconfirmed. This may resolve the issue without removing the merchandise.
If the sensor remains offline, please restart the sensor.
Restart a OnePOD sensor:
- Disarm the sensor even if it is offline. This will tell the Alarm Node not to alarm.
- Lift sensor from stand and disconnect the tether cable. *
- Remove the merchandise from sensor to allow the plunger on top surface to lift. **
- Wait 10 seconds and reassemble the position so it is fully assembled, armed and powered.
* OnePOD sensors continue to run in low power mode after they are removed from the stand if they are monitoring for planogram compliance.
** If a OnePOD plunger is lifted, compliance becomes unconfirmed. An unconfirmed sensor will shut down if it is removed from the stand.
Additional user notes:
1. Disarm any sensor(s) to be restarted.
- If restarting multiple sensors, tap the DISARM ALL button at the top of the page.
- If restarting only one sensor, tap its entry to see the sensor's detail page, then disarm the sensor.
Note: Disarm time is limited. The next step should be performed as soon as possible to avoid an alarm.
Repeat the disarm process if you need more time.
2. Turn off the sensor.
The sensor will turn off if it does not have any merchandise to protect and is not charging on a stand.
This may trigger an alarm and self-defense mode if the sensor was not disarmed prior to merchandise removal. Please lift any offline sensors and allow them to lay next to the stand. This will allow access to detach the tether regardless of self-defense mode and ability to unlock with the app.
- Remove the sensor from its stand and detach the tether cable.
- Remove merchandise from the sensor to release the plunger on the face of the sensor.
3. Turn on the sensor.
The sensor will automatically turn on as soon as it detects power and merchandise to protect.
- Attach the sensor to the merchandise to be protected.
- Attach the tether cable.
- Set the sensor in its stand.
