LIVE Locks | The LIVE Lock is not "adhering" securely to the panel or door.

The Smart Lock is detaching or popping off the glass surface shortly after installation.

Environment

• Product: InVue Smart Locks
• Surface: Glass display fixtures
• Installation Materials: Adhesive pad, alcohol wipe
• Installation Conditions: Manual pressure, ambient temperature/humidity

Symptoms

• Lock detaches or falls off the glass surface
• Adhesive does not seem to hold securely
• Lock comes loose within 24 hours of installation
• Minimal or no resistance when pulling lock from glass

Cause

1. Improper Surface Preparation:
   • Alcohol is not allowed to fully dry before installation
   • Surface contamination (dust, oil, fingerprints)
2. Insufficient Pressure or Time During Install:
   • Not enough pressure was applied during installation
   • The lock was not held in place long enough
3. Cure Time Not Respected:
   • Adhesive not given full 24 hours to cure
   • Full bond strength not achieved immediately after application

Resolution Steps

1. Reinstall with Proper Surface Prep:
   • Clean the glass surface thoroughly using the included alcohol wipe
   • Wait at least 60 seconds for the alcohol to dry completely before applying the lock
2. Apply with Correct Pressure and Duration:
   • Firmly press and hold the lock in place for at least 30 seconds
   • Ensure even pressure is applied across the entire adhesive area
3. Allow Full Adhesive Cure Time:
   • Avoid stressing or testing the bond for 24 hours post-install
   • Do not attach keys or attempt to unlock during this curing period
