For Setting up LIVE Display the LIVE Gateway is the most important step.
Placing the Gateway in the Store.
- It should be positioned in a space that is free and clear of obstructing objects.
- It should be placed on the closest wall to the devices that you are able to get it to.
- It should be placed up as high as possible and as far away from metal or other electronic equipment
- This allows better Line of Sight to the alarm nodes and sensors.
Example
Connecting the Gateway
NOTE
Please make sure that you have permission from your IT team or the owner of the store to connect the gateway before connecting it to any network.
Our WIreless Rak Gateways require two ports to be open in order to work correctly.
LORA Network: UDP 17000
LIVE Display: TCP 443 or 8443
When connecting to the gateway there are 3 methods that can be used.
Ethernet: This is the standard configuration. You should be able to plug in your gateway with an ethernet cable and get a connection. Provided that the IT team has allowed access to the port you are connected to.
Wifi: This is to be used when you want to connect to an in-store wifi to have your sensors connected.
LIVE Gateway setup - Connect to the gateway using Wi-Fi – InVue Help Center
LTE: This configuration can be used if you do not have ethernet or wifi and want to input a sim card for your connection.
LIVE Gateway setup - Connect with mobile (LTE) network – InVue Help Center
