OneKEY | What is the installer or test key?

The installer key, also known as test key or red, is a version of the OneKEY which can be used with smart or LIVE locks before they are mated with an SDC key.  They are typically used for test (to confirm form, fit and locking function of the lock) or during the installation of the lock.  Once the lock is mated with an SDC key (after being programmed in a programming station or OneKEY manager), then the lock will no longer function with an installer/test key.  

 

The IR4 order code for the installer key is: OK4000-TK.  Both are red keys.

 

To program the IR3 installer key, hold the button down on the key and then plug it to power, wait a few seconds until it beeps, and LED is blue.

 

Nothing is required with the IR4 installer key, just make sure it is fully charged.  It should be green when you press the button.
